In the collection database you can search through the collection. For questions about the collection, you can contact the Knowledge and Information Centre at kic@nmm.nl.
Library material
Would you like to view library material? This is possible by appointment in our study room. Please provide the following details for the publications you wish to view:
- Title
- Author
- Object number (or a link to the collection database)
In order to assist you as well as possible, we also ask you to briefly state your motivation or purpose for the visit.
Donate
Are you considering making a donation? We appreciate it, as donations are important for the development of our collection. We carefully assess whether an object is an interesting addition to the collection. The NMM receives offers of objects almost daily. We cannot accept everything, partly because we invest a lot of time and money in the collection. In order to make a well-considered decision, we ask you to offer objects in the following way:
Send your offer to kic@nmm.nl with one or more good photos and information about the object. Please briefly describe what it is and how it came into your possession. Also mention, if known, how old the object is and who made it.
We do not accept objects that are brought to the museum without an appointment or sent by post as a donation.
